Our Mission Connection with Fiji
In July 2017 a group from PCF travelled to Fiji for the first time to partner with a husband and wife team Manoa & Alisi who live and work in a squatters settlement in Waidamudamu, Suva. The group from PCF spent a life-changing 12 days sharing the Gospel with adults, running a children's program, helping with a church building project and meeting practical needs in the community. We returned again in July 2018 and July 2019 for a week of mission and ministry and again in Dec 2019 to distribute Christmas gifts. We praise God that we were able to return with a team in July 2023 to Waidaudamu and for the first time to Savusavu. Our desire as a church is to continue to support the Christian workers and people in the Waidamudamu community in prayer, in sharing the gospel, financially and practically.
About Waidamudamu
It is a settlement that started when people moved away from sugar cane plantations in the north to look for work near Suva.
It’s about a 20 minute drive east of Suva city.
The majority of families living there are lower socio-economic Fijian Indians with Hindu beliefs.
The children of the settlement speak some English but adults are usually Hindi speakers so a translator helps us in our interactions.
Fiji Ongoing Support
Please pray for the PCF Elders as they seek the best way to provide practical and financial support to the ministry and workers in Waidamudamu. Keep an ear out for ways that you can partner in this work.
Please Join Us to Pray For
