Pastor Frank Hutchinson With sadness we announce that our much loved Pastor Frank passed away on Tuesday 9th April. Pam, Robert & Tara, Miles and Tia, Ken & Diana, Rebekah & Kevin, Luke and Michael and the wider family would like to thank you for all your love, support, kind words and prayers at this sad time. We thank God for Frank’s wonderful life of service to his Lord, his love for his family and his ministry to us all at PCF.  We also thank God that Frank is now in perfect peace and joy with his Saviour in Heaven. How wonderful that we can look forward with anticipation to seeing him again on that great day if our faith is in Jesus as Frank’s was. 

New Sermon Series -  The Gospel of Matthew  Join us as we begin our study of Matthew, our 2024 Book of the Year.  Between now and Dec (with a few breaks for other topics) we’ll be looking at different passages from Matthew chapter 3-28 with a focus on: Jesus is The King of Kings & The Son of God, Jesus delivers us from…,

Jesus’ parables,  sign proofs that Jesus is the Son of God, and the last week of Jesus’ earthy ministry.

Mother's Day Service - Sun 12th May 10am You're invited to our special Mother's Day Service on Sunday 12th May at 10am.  What a wonderful opportunity to bless the mothers amongst us!  Please stay for a delicious morning tea.

Elders Q & A Sun 16th June The Elders are hosting a special  Q & A morning during our 10am service. Do you have a question about faith in God or Christianity? Q & A Sunday is your opportunity to hear an answer from the PCF Elders.  Over the next few weeks please put your questions in the offering bag (this can be anonymous if you’d like) or email them to pastor@pcf.gen.nz   The PCF Elders will study and research and present an answer for you on 16th June.  Please speak to one of the PCF Elders for more info.

Sunday Prayer @ PCF 9.40am  Would you Like prayer support? Before church each Sunday you can have prayer at 9.40am with the PCF Elders in the Library Lounge.  The PCF Elders are also able to visit you at home to pray for you and support you.  Please speak to Ken, Frank, Vijay, Tiko or Bruce.

Weekly Offering For those who are part of the PCF family and would like give a offering to God as part of their worship and thanks, we have an envelope system for collection on the day at church on Sundays or you're able to give by AP.  PCF bank account details are 01-0235-0012663-00. PCF Upcoming Event News

PCF’s 2024 Bible Reading Challenge  Would you like to join a group of people who reading through the Bible in a year?  The PCF Elders invite you to use the Navigators Bible Reading Plan.  You’ll be reading from both the Old Testament and New Testament each day, for 25 days of the month. What a great challenge that will bless you incredibly!  Speak to Vijay to get your copy fo the Navigators Bible Reading Plan and book in to do the 2024 Bible Reading Challenge.

Women’s Ministry 2024 Women, ladies, girls of PCF we’ve got some great events planned for this year :) Look out for a flyer to find out more. We're also starting a Women’s Whats App friendship group.  Please speak to one of PCF’s WMT (Diana, Narina, Jane, Dianne or Amanda) for more info.

Heart Sisters is back @ PCF for 2024  Would you like to make a new friend at PCF this year? We encourage you to be a part of Heart Sisters in 2024.  Heart Sisters is a women’s ministry of friendship, encouragement & care just for you and all the girls and women of PCF.  To be a Heart Sister fill in the form (in the foyer), return it to one of the Women’s Ministry Team (Diana, Lela, Narina, Dianne, Amanda or Jane) and be matched to another PCF Heart Sister.  From then on you’ll begin to get to know each other, pray for and encourage each other throughout 2024.  Speak to one of the WMT for more info.

PCF Mission News

CMCT CEO Mr Philip to Visit NZ - Wed 1st May @ PCF  Join us for an exciting opportunity to meet Philip, the CEO of CMCT, as he tours New Zealand in April & May 2024.  PCF will be hosting his final meeting on Wed 1st May at 7.30pm. Come along to support this fantastic ministry and to be encouraged in what the Lord is doing in India.  Handicrafts from the Haven of Hope ministry will be available for purchase.

Mission Prayer 2024 - Kiribati Louise is returning to Kiribati for a women’s medical  ministry trip 5-14th May.  Please pray for her as she prepares. She welcomes any donations of women’s underwear for post surgery patients.  Please speak to Louise for more info.

Mission Prayer 2024 - Papua New Guinea Emma has been accepted to go on the Ethnos Interface short term mission program to Papua New Guinea 31st May-5th July this year.  Please pray for Emma and the team organising trip, for logistics, and all things to fall into place.  Please speak to Emma for more info

Garage Op Ministry Team Opportunity Please pray and ask the Lord if he would like to you serve as a volunteer or step into the role as manager on Tues and/or Fri 10am-2pm.  Please speak to Ken if you feel that this is a role the Lord would like you to serve in.

Garage Op Shop Donations Please Do you have any good condition, clean, saleable household items, home decor, toys, jigsaw puzzles, books, sports equipment etc?  The Garage Op Shop would love your donations. We are not able to accept AC powered electrical items, large furniture/items, open/used hygiene/underware. Speak to Diana for more info.  The Garage Op Shop is open Tues & Fri 10am-2pm with lots of people from the community coming in for a browse or conversation. 

Freezer Ministry Meals for Those in Need If you know of anyone in PCF who's going through a tough time and would be blessed by a meal or two, please speak to one of the Women’s Ministry Team members (Diana, Lela, Narina, Dianne, Jane or Amanda).  If you’d like to donate some dinner servings please chat with them too.

Food Bank Donations  If you would like to donate non-perishable food items please pop them in the box on Sundays or drop them off to the church office Tues & Fri 10am-2pm. Please Note: We do not run a food bank at PCF.  Donated items are collected and dropped off to support a Salvation Army food bank.

Children, Youth & Young Adult News

Young Adults Shared Lunch Last Sun of the Month @ 12.30pm  If you're a school leaver+ we’d love you to come along to our shared lunch after church in the church house to connect, have some fun times, to learn more about faith in God and to grow in your walk with Jesus. Chat with Ken to find out more.

Transform Youth  If you're 12ys+ we'd love you to join us every Monday during the school term.  Our term program is a mix Bible study and social nights.  Spread the word and bring your friends.  Please talk to Ken, Michael, Emma or Mattie for more info, visit our Transform Youth Page or find a flyer in the PCF entry foyer.

Kids Church @ PCF Our kids church have their great teaching program after worship each Sunday during the school term.  We'd love you to join us.

Small Group News

Monday Girl’s Bible Study - Mondays 7.30pm You're invited to join with other women to study the Bible together each Monday during the school term.  Our current study is a KYB study on The Book of Mark - Following Jesus.  Please contact the church office or speak to Diana to find out more.

Prayer Group - Tuesdays  If you have any prayer needs please let Pam Hutchinson know.  Each Tues afternoon a group of dedicated prayers meet at her home to pray for PCF.

Senior Saints Home Group - Wednesdays The Senior Saints group invites you to come along and joing them.  They will be studying the Fruit of the Spirit.  They meet fortnightly on Wednedays at 1.30pm in the PCF Church House.  Please speak to Bruce or Nerida for more information

Men’s Bible Study - Thursdays 7.15pm  Guys of all ages are welcome to come along to our Men's Bible Study on Thursday nights at 7.15pm at the PCF Church House.  We follow along with our Sunday morning teaching topics. This gives us a great opportunity to study a bit deeper or ask questions to gain greater understanding.  Please speak to Pastor Ken for more info.
